During the workshop we will delve into different improvisational tasks that will help to “unlock” the free human movement. We will explore the features of body control, learn to trust the body, and develop muscle memory. The hall will turn into a playground where everyone is invited to both fall down and smile.

Lukas Karvelis – an artist who has worked with such well known choreographers as Marina Mascarell, Jiri Kylian, Antoninas Comestaz, Joseph Simon. He studied at the M. K. Čiulrionis National School of Arts and later graduated from Codarts University of the Arts, Netherlands. In 2015–2018 as a creator he resided in the “Performance Bar” in Rotterdam. Lukas developed a creative project with designer Youjia Jin at Paris Fashion Week in 2017. In 2018 Lykas received the 2nd place prize and the video prize at the „Solo-Tanz“ competition in Stuttgart. In 2020 he was selected for the „internationale tanzmesse nrw program“ with his solo work „Blank Spots“.
